Namaste Academy believes that its libraries are not just add-ons to our learning and teaching but at the heart of it. That is why we have two of them: one for our young learners with furniture designed for their comfort and which is brightly decorated; and a more study-oriented room for our older students, equipped with PCs for independent research. This is vital for our students because it involves them in their own learning and makes them more interested in their chosen subjects. When they feel part of their own education, they take it more seriously and, of course, get better examination results.
The Young Learner Library has giant cushions for kids to sit on when they are listening to stories and a music player so that they can sometimes sing songs. This atmosphere makes for fun-filled early education and sets the kids on the right path for learning in the future. After all, we all do things that we enjoy!
The Senior Library has both physical books for studying the syllabus and to read for enjoyment as well as an electronic library of adapted texts for students to widen their general knowledge and improve their English. All recent research shows that students who read outside the syllabus do better in exams, even in Maths! And our students need the best results possible!
